Teach Your Children To Save
One of the things kids must learn is to save money. This practice should be instilled in childhood instead of the "buy me" mindset. The good, old fashioned piggy bank is a good start, but you should later introduce the concept of the savings account to start your kids on their way to a lifetime of being practical about their money. It's infinitely better than them spending all their Christmas and birthday moneys on unimportant things.
