Use A Pressure Cooker

A pressure cooker saves cooking time since it cooks meat and softens them faster, thus it does not use up a lot of fuel. Perfect for soups and stews that use meat which need softening.

Keep in mind, though, that foods cooked this way may not be as tasty as slower-cooked foods.

Oh, I disagree about the food not tasting as good. In fact, I have found pressure cooked food usually tastes better than food cooked in other ways. Soups, stew, chili all come out more flavorful in about half the time.
A pressure cooker is defintely a great kitchen tool.
