The hard way is to observe proper diet and exercise. The easy way is via surgery or liposuction or diet pills. Most people opt for the latter since there is less effort on their part. You really have to ask yourself, which is better for your health, in the long run? It's also best to consult a doctor AND a nutritionist on your weight losing needs before proceeding with anything.
