Pinoys are fond of imported stuff. Traditional pasalubongs (roughly translated as "welcome gifts") include perfumes and soaps for women, liquor, blue seal cigarettes and Dutch Master cigars for men and toys for children. Toiletries and bath towels are also very much appreciated. These are also cheaper when bought abroad.
However, you should also check for any additional charges that you may incur. For example, if you're buying a lot of cheap stuff but encounter additional charges because your luggage is simply too big or too heavy, you don't really save at all. Not to mention the extra effort of lugging around all those stuff. So don't just be tempted to buy on the misconception that you are saving, but take these other things into consideration too.
